Protecting the privacy and confidentiality of both personal, health and business information is an important aspect of the way the AIDS Committee of North Bay & Area conducts its business. Collecting, using, and disclosing information in an appropriate, responsible, and ethical manner is fundamental to AIDS Committee of North Bay & Area's daily operations.

The AIDS Committee of North Bay & Area strives to protect and respect all information as it relates to business practices, internal company information, client information, including client health information, employees, business partners, and so on in accordance with all applicable provincial and federal laws. Each staff member of AIDS Committee of North Bay & Area will be properly trained in the privacy practices of the company, and must abide by this organization's procedures when handling confidential, internal information at all times.

In our new age of electronic communication and social media, the AIDS Committee of North Bay & Area wants to ensure that staff are aware of the threat that new and emerging technology can pose on information security. As a company, we must ensure that we are extra vigilant with information security. We must be cognisant of how we use social media and new technologies in the workplace. The AIDS Committee of North Bay & Area will provide employees with ongoing training on the importance of privacy and information security.
