About the Program

Safer Spaces provides organizational assessments, professional development workshops, and consultation services to create more inclusive programs and workplaces for 2S-LGBTQ+ communities.

Our services are designed to address the diverse needs of 2S-LGBTQ+ peoples by breaking down institutional barriers to inclusion. Our interactive workshops offer a shared learning experience that provides front line staff with concrete strategies for their work, while our consultation services guide management towards creating a more inclusive environment based in institutional best practices.

The Safer Spaces team shares a passion for strengthening greater 2S-LGBTQ+ inclusion in our communities through educational opportunities and systemic change. Our experiences and collective skill sets are as rich as they are diverse.

Your local Safer Spaces coordinator is housed here at the AIDS Committee of North Bay & Area. Services can be provided virtually or in person (once safe to do so) across Canada.
